Between my first concert at 13 and my most recent at 19, I have attended 13 concerts and one Livestream concert during quarantine (I did pay to view it, so I count it as a concert). Here is who I have seen live including the openers in order:

  1. Demi Lovato with 5th Harmony, Little Mix and Magician Collins Key

This was my first concert back in 8th grade and it was everything I’ve ever dreamed of. I went with my friend and her mom at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL. Demi Lovato was my favorite singer at the time, I was OBSESSED with her at the time. I am also a huge Little Mix fan to this day, so they were awesome to experience live as well.

  1. Imagine Dragons with Halsey and Metric

My first concert where I had to pay for the ticket myself using my 8th grade graduation money. I went with both of my parents again at the Allstate Arena. Imagine Dragons was my favorite band at the time since Night Visions is a spectacular album.

  1. All Time Low with State Champs and Tonight Alive

My first All Time Low concert at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, which will always hold a special place in my heart. My dad and I celebrated the day by spending the entire day in the city and going to the Sky Deck in the Willis Tower. At the time, I also listened to Tonight Alive a lot.

  1. All Time Low with Sleeping with Sirens and Neck Deep

This one was at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, which the bandmates of ATL had to keep pointing out because Hoffman Estates sounds so exquisite. I went with my friend, her sister and my dad.

  1. All Time Low with Gnash and Dreamers

My first concert where I had to stay at a hotel due to the location. I recommend going to a non-local concert because it is a totally different experience. This concert was at the Monarch Music Hall in Peoria, IL. It was also wicked to be able to hear “I hate u, I love u” by Gnash live because that will always be one of my favorite songs.

  1. Poison with Cheap Trick

If you know me personally, you know I love all things involving the 80s. Seeing Poison live was a great experience because I got to live out my dreams of witnessing an 80s rock band right in front of my face and not through the radio. I saw them with my friend’s family and my brother at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Tinley Park, IL.

  1. Luke Bryan with Carly Pearce, Jon Pardi and Sam Hunt

By far the best concert I have ever been to. I went with a friend and I also got to drive to Chicago for the first time, which was an interesting experience. It was at Wrigley Field and we had some decent seats considering we were covered by the rain. All the opening acts were spectacular and of course, Luke Bryan crushed it.

  1. WALK THE MOON with Flora Cash and CHVRCHES

Don’t ask how many times I have watched my video of Kevin Ray playing the bass right in front of my eyes. WALK THE MOON live exceeded all my expectations and I WAS IN FRONT ROW!!! I went with my dad at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

  1. Cole Swindell with Dustin Lynch and Lauren Alaina

A fantastic concert filled with cowboy boots, hats and accents. The performance was at the TaxSlayer Center in East Moline, IL. I went with a guy I was talking to at the time and it was an overall amazing concert. Cole will forever be one of my favorite country singers.

  1. Cole Swindell with Scotty McCreery

Yep, I got to see Cole Swindell twice in less than a year. This was more of an informal concert because it was at the Taste of Joliet event, so it was more of a festival than anything. I went with both of my parents and though we sat far away on bleachers, it was awesome to experience him live again.

  1. Brad Paisley with Riley Green and Chris Lane

Brad Paisley is an all-around fantastic entertainer. Between the jokes he tells and his humorous lyrics (Think of his song “Ticks”), I would very much see him live again. I am also a fan of both Riley and Chris. I went with a guy I was dating at the time and both of my parents. It was nice because we saw him at the Hollywood Chicago Amphitheater in Tinley Park, so we got to sit in the grass on a blanket.

  1. Mayday Parade with Sleep On It

This was for the 10th anniversary of their “A Lesson in Romantics” album, so it was awesome. They played every single song on the deluxe version and some more to finish the concert. I went with my dad at the Metro in Chicago. I wanted to see them for years, so I was overjoyed to snatch the tickets to see them in 2019.

  1. All Time Low with DJ Greg Corner of Kill Hannah

This was for the 10th anniversary of their “Nothing Personal” album, which is a fantastic album. Again, they played every song from the album and then some more. Of course, they ended the concert with “Dear Maria, Count Me In.” Bet that you were able to guess that I went with my dad. This was at the House of Blues in Chicago.

  1. Bonus live stream concert: All Time Low

To celebrate their newest album, “Wake Up Sunshine,” Alex Gaskarth put on a $10 Livestream of him singing some of the songs off the album and some older ones to raise money for their tour crew. I watched it by myself in my basement.
